Versey Goins

Mr. Versey Goins, age 84, of Maxton, NC, departed this life on September 6, 2025, at UNC Health Southeastern.

He was born on July 15, 1941, to the late Mr. Jessie Goins and Mrs. Mary Goins.

He was preceded in death by six brothers: Harvey Goins, Gilbert Goins, Jessie Goins, Wardell Goins, Jack Goins, and Jimmy Goins; one sister, Elizabeth; two daughters, Vickie Goins and Gail Goins; and one son, Ronald Goins.

Mr. Versey leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 54 years, Mrs. Shirley Goins, of the home; one daughter, Brenda Bullard, also of the home; and three sons: Johnny Goins (Rita), Tony Goins (Sandra), and Eddie Goins (Charlotte), all of Maxton. One special daughter in law Liz Goins.  He is also survived by his beloved stepson, Stoney Bullard. five step-grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild. His legacy also lives on through his 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
