Mr. Sim Sampson, born September 29, 1933 in Pembroke, entered his eternal heavenly home March 12, 2019. Sim departed this life after an extended illness at Medical University of SC in Florence.
Sim’s lifelong employment was as a licensed electrician and as a member of The National Brotherhood of Electrical Worker’s for almost 25 years. Sim’s employment provided for his family. After retirement, Sim went on to open and manage a local tire repair shop – Sampson’s Tires and Sampson’s Fish Market in Pembroke.
We will mourn our fathers passing and celebrate his heavenly homecoming. We will think of daddy whenever we see a budding garden, a pasture of grazing cows and pass by Seafood Restaurants. Daddy loved fresh fried fish. We are comforted in the fact that our daddy is praising God almighty forever in his eternal heavenly home. We will & we do already miss him so.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfonso Sampson and mother, Cledy Cummings Sampson and two brothers, Ralph and Wiley Sampson.
Left to cherish so many wonderful memories are his wife of 59 years, Marcie Godwin Sampson; three sons, Simeon Sampson (Vickie), Jerry R Sampson (Shirley) and Daniel Sampson (Lenora); three daughters, Gloria S Locklear (David), Lorie Chason (Charles) and Lady Lisa Sampson; one special daughter-in-law, Aggie Nora Locklear; two sisters, Ruth Sampson and Elsie S Locklear; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
