Shirley (Oxendine) Locklear

     Mrs. Shirley Oxendine Locklear 80, of 202 Cherry Lane Pembroke, NC was born August 12, 1942 to the Late Mr. joseph Wayne Oxendine and Mrs. Eunice Brayboy Oxendine and departed this life on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

     She was preceded I death by her husband, Mr. Charles Asa Locklear; one son, Mr. Charles Alvin Locklear; one grandson, Master Dakota Jacobs; three brothers, Mr. Kenneth Oxendine , Mr. Harvey Oxendine and Mr. Joseph Wayne (JW) Oxendine, Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Lenora Jones, Mrs. Viola Jones and Mrs. Janice Sanderson.

She is survived by two daughters, Ms. Tessie Torres (Kim) and Mrs. Melissa Locklear (John Jr.) both of Pembroke; two sons, Mr. Alton Locklear (Sabrina) and Mr. Harley Locklear (Jessica) both of Pembroke; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Nan Locklear; one sister, Mrs. Magdalene Simmons; three sister-in-law’s, Mrs. Shirley M. Locklear, Mrs. Helen Faye Locklear, Mrs. Carol Oxendine and Mrs. Villa Locklear; one brother-in-law, Mr. Bobby Locklear; ten grandchildren, five great-grands; special cousins, Mr. Danny and Mrs. Maxine Locklear and a host of relatives and friends.
