Ruthie Bullard

Ms. Ruthie Mae “Reek” Bullard was born October 5, 1934 in Robeson County to late
Archie and Lonie Mae "Lankin" Locklear. She passed away to her heavenly home on May 26 th
2024 at her home, she was 89 years old.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tracy “Uncle
Dave” Bullard of 65 years, two brothers: Rufus Locklear and Dovy Locklear.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons: Calvin Kent Bullard (Brendette) of
Maxton, Trent Bullard (Krista) of Lumberton and Terlance Bullard (April) of Maxton - the home;
two brothers: Louis  Locklear (Linda) and Cleveland Locklear (Linda); two sisters:
Nancy Dial of Pembroke and Zillie Locklear of Maxton; six grandchildren: Ethan, Seth,
Joshua, Terra, Jacob and Jeremiah as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Ms. Ruthie enjoyed cooking, cleaning and working in her yard. She cooked often three
meals a day and many enjoyed meals at her table, biscuits, tater pies and tater bread. She
served the Lord from her home and her church, Preston Gospel Chapel for the majority of
her life. A precious jewel the Lord saw fit to bless us with.
