Ruby (Hunt) Scott

Mrs. Ruby L. Scott, 84, of Maxton, NC passed away peacefully in the care of Hospice of Laurinburg, NC on Saturday, April 8th, 2023.  She was born December 22, 1938 to the late Daniel Mark and Ollie Mae Hunt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucius Scott; a daughter, Marlene Locklear; a son, Ray Hunt; three grandchildren, Brian Keith Hunt, Braiden Patric Locklear and James Charles Hunt; eight brothers, Willie, Fred, Edward, Winford, Doug, Henry, Sanford and James Hunt; five sisters, Stella Strongs, Maggie Bullard, Clarkie Bell, Ollie Mae and Mary Bell Hunt and one son-in-law, James A. Locklear.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three daughters, Betty H. Locklear (Charles), of Maxton, NC, Patsy Hunt of Lumberton, NC and Patricia Hardin (Michael) of Red Springs, NC; two sons, Mitchell Hunt of the home and Larry Hunt (Laneice) of Maxton, NC; fourteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
