Roy Hunt, Jr.

Roy Hunt Jr, age 82, of Maxton departed this life Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at UNC Health Southeastern.

     Mr. Hunt was born November 10, 1939 and was the son of the late Mr. Roy Hunt, Sr. and Mrs. Viola Locklear Hunt.  Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by two sisters: Mrs. Mable Cummings and Mrs. Eunice Locklear, and three brothers Mr. Edgar Hunt, and Mr. Alton Hunt.

     Mr. Hunt leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Mrs. Jacqueline Blue Hunt; a son Mr. Patrick Barry Hunt (Tena); a daughter Mrs. Donna Lynn Hunt Locklear (Timothy); 6 grandchildren: Dustin (Rhonda), Hillary (DJ), Alysa, Seth, Bethany, Isaiah, and Kaigen; 2 great grandsons: Mason, and Seth; three brothers: Mr. Harold Hunt (Bonnie), Mr. Henry Luther Hunt (Rosa), and Mr. Timmie Hunt and a host of relatives, two special friends, Mr. Rufus Clark (Rugene) and Mr. Mitchell Locklear, and a special caregiver, Ms. Molly (Cookie) B Locklear.
