Romuel Strickland

Mr. Romuel Strickland, 75, of Rowland, NC departed this life on February 26, 2023, surrounded by his family. Mr. Romuel, was born on July 22, 1947, to Mr. John and Mrs. Ruby Strickland. 

   In addition to his parents, Mr. Strickland was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years,  Mrs. Regina Strickland, whom he adored, a daughter Mrs. Lisa Thompson, a grandson Master David Berry, his siblings Mr. Samuel Strickland, Mrs. Annie Liz White, Mrs. Alice Baculik, his baby sister Ruby Lynn Strickland and a son in law, Mr. Teddy Dial. 

    Mr. Romuel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and man of God. His children will remember him for instilling in them his love for Jesus and Church. He was a Sunday School teacher and Deacon for many years. His friends and family will remember him for his kind heart and loving spirit. 

    Mr. Romuel leaves to Cherish his memories, his children; two sons, Mr. Romuel Strickland Jr. (Jamie), Mr. Greg Strickland (Trish) and three daughters, Mrs. Rose Hunt (Billy), Mrs. Betty Dial, and Mrs. Anita Jacobs (Jimmy). Two sisters, Mrs. Shelby Locklear and Mrs. Virginia Demery; Three brothers, Mr. Rufus Strickland, Mr. Luke Strickland and Mr. Richard Strickland. A son in law, Keith Thompson of Petersburg, Va. 19 grandchildren,  26 great grandchildren, and a special  brother in law  and sister in law Donald and Pauline Locklear of Wytheville, Va.
