Rodney Deese

Rodney Deese, 78, of Maxton, N.C., went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 with his family by his side.

         Rodney was born on July 10th, 1947 in Maxton, N.C. He was the son of the late Inez and John Deese.

         He was preceded in death by his first child, Baby Deese; his parents. Inez and John Deese; his siblings John D. Deese, Ray Lee Deese, Joe Deese, Thomas Deese, Jerry Deese, Lawerence Deese, Helen Locklear; and two great-grandchildren, Baby Sampsons’.

         He leaves to cherish his memory to his loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn Deese of the home; daughters Tina Sanderson (Chris) of Maxton, N.C., Cynthia Locklear (Randy) of the home; son: Tobby Deese (Dewanna) of Maxton, N.C.; seven grandchildren: Jocelyn Garcia (Carlos), Makenna Sampson (Janie), Nolan Sanderson, Kaley Sanderson, Kyhia Deese, Ian Deese, and Abby Deese; three great-grandchildren: Kaydence Sampson, Sadie Garcia, and Mason Garcia, along with a host of extend family and friends.

         Rodney had over 28 years of carpentry experience. He transitioned his passion to farming for over 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and running his beagles. He cherished spending time with his family and friends.
