Richard Locklear

Richard Dwayne Locklear, age 48, was born on July 20, 1974 to Carol O. Bullard and Kim Locklear, Jr. He left this world peacefully on May 25, 2023 at Duke Medical Pavillion, with his wife and sister by his side.

   Richard was preceded in death by a daughter, Anastacia Delane Locklear; his parents; a brother, Gregory; Paternal grandparents, R.D. Oxendine and Madie Oxendine; in-laws, Burl Winford Locklear, Evelyn J. Bullard, Joseph Bullard and a nephew, James Brandon Locklear.

   Richard leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 31 years, Drenna Locklear; a son Richard Brandon Locklear; a granddaughter, Jaeani Karae; a niece, Ashton whom he raised as his own, all of the home; his sister, Kimberly and her two children Kristian and Aaron all of Hamlet, NC; two sister-in-laws, Cheryl Howington (Marvin) and Phyllis Locklear (Wayne); one brother-in-law, Roger(Carmalita); two goddaughters, Katie and Kendra; nephews, Jared, Zachary, Scottie, and a niece, Heather. Also to cherish memories several aunts, uncles and cousins.
