Peggy Locklear Dial, 72, a resident of Sumter, South Carolina passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 14th at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father Lewis Locklear, mother Rockie Lee Locklear, and siblings Donald Ray Locklear, Jeanette Oxendine, Thurman Locklear, Arvin Locklear, and Garrett Locklear.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 47 years Robert Dial, of Sumter, her sister JoAnn Locklear of Prospect, North Carolina, her children Elliott, Eric, Elijah and Jonathan, her grandsons, Junah and Thomas and her granddaughters Kennedy and Giorgia. Peggy also leaves behind a host of loved cousins, nieces, nephews, and family friends.
Peggy was an avid lover of reading, gardening, and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, this sentiment is confirmed by the number of messages, phone calls, and people that the family have received at the home. Her family wishes to thank everyone in and out of the community for their outpouring of love and support.
