Norman Edwards

Norman S. Edwards, age 79 of Red Springs, NC, was born on January 7th, 1946, in Robeson County and passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at Harborview in Lumberton, NC.

Norman was preceded in death by his companion for 27 years, Evelyn Chavis, his parents, Mr. Henry Hiram Edwards and Mrs. Mary Seals Edwards. Six brothers: Hugh Allen Edwards, Bruce Edwards, Vernon Edwards, Joe Edwards, Allen Edwards, and James Edwards, three sisters: Sara Kaye Edwards, Shelby Jean Edwards and Peggy Deluca.

He survived by his daughter Jennifer Smith and son-in-law Leon Smith, and five other stepchildren. Also, three sisters: Doris McLean, Mary Janet Lineberry and Susan Faye Lowery.

Norman loved his church family. He looked forward to the visits, phone calls and trips especially their mountain trips every year. Norman was a kind man. He would do anything that was asked of him. He will be missed by all that knew him and loved him. He was a lifelong farmer that achieved the highest standards in the industry.
