Mrs. Margaret L. Hammonds 88, of Pembroke, NC was born to the late Mr. Dennis Strickland and Mrs. Eva Mae Oxendine Strickland. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. In addition to her parents Mrs. Hammonds is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hammonds and a brother, Mr. Dennis Strickland, Jr.
Mrs. Hammonds leaves to cherish her memories; a daughter, Mrs. Gwendolyn Jones; a son, Mr. Alton Bruce Jones, III (Lynn); a sister, Mrs. Vera Chance; a brother, Mr. Samuel Strickland (Myrna); two grandchildren, Mr. Lee Travis Hackney (Allie), and Mrs. Heather Lenord (Trevor); two great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
