Marcell Locklear

Marcell Locklear, 81, of Maxton N.C., of the Prospect Community, transitioned from this life on Sunday, January 7, 2024, to her final resting place.

Mrs. Marcell was born in Robeson County on July 7, 1942, to the late Japeth and Ethel Locklear, both of Maxton, NC., the Prospect Community. She preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Japeth and Mrs. Ethel Locklear; four siblings Estell Locklear, Harold Fred Locklear, Herbert Locklear and Mary Ruggerio,

Marcell Locklear leaves to cherish her memories to two son’s Hearbert A. Locklear(Susan) of Archer Lodge, NC., Dannie Locklear(Susan) of Maxton N.C., one daughter Krishna D. Locklear of Lumberton, N.C., 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memories three sisters, Linda Clark(Ander) of Scotland County; Martha Collins of Maxton N.C., JoAnn Chavis(Henry Clay) of Maxton N.C., and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
