Lucille Clark

    Lucille Thompson Clark, 86, of Eddie Rd Pembroke, NC was born June 12, 1937 and was called to her heavenly home Thursday, August 24, 2023. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Lacy in 1982 whom she married in 1967; her parents, Boss and Anna (Dial) Thompson; one brother, Othniel Thompson.

     Lucille loved the Lord, it radiated and showed throughout her life.  She graduated Pembroke State University (UNCP).as an educator Liberian; she worked for Public Robeson County over thirty years; where she displayed her love for children and reading daily. She was a faithful pianist and servant at Good News Chapel over six decades.  She also played the piano at New Hope Chapel and Preston Chapel for many years as needed.  Her love for her family and friends was impeccable cooking and cleaning and reading the word of God but most of all she lived what the word of God taught her to:

      She leaves to cherish her sons, Wilton Clark of the home; David (Denise) Clark of Sanford; her grandchildren, Blake, Madison, Jeremiah, and Timothy, her brother, Gary Phillip Thompson (Patsy) of Prospect; Amiria Thompson-Chavis (Dustin), Ashleigh and Micah; one nephew, Phillip of Pennsylvania, two nieces Carol, Martha of Maryland; special friends Ms. Sally Bullard of Lumberton, and Flora Scott of the Prospect Community; an innumerable host of extended family, co-workers, students, friends, and the dear saints with whom she had sweet fellowship for many years.
