Leroy Scott

Mr. Leroy Scott, 83, of Maxton, was born June 23, 1935 to the late Mr. Fred Scott and Mrs. Fodie Locklear Scott, departed this life to be with the Lord, Friday, May 24, 2019.

Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his brother Fred “Deuce” Scott, Jr.; and two sisters Edna Lee Quick and Dorothy Cummings.

Mr. Scott leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 54 years, Doris Scott; one son: Ricky Chavis (Shelia); three daughters: Toria Leigh Scott (Brian Upchurch), Jennifer Scott, and Mary Breanna Scott, all of Maxton; three grandchildren: Justin Chavis, Ashleigh Lowe, and Cloe Upchurch; one brother: Vernon Scott (Flora) of Maxton; two sisters: Lula Harris and Lena Stanton all of Maxton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
