Lana (Spivey) Oxendine

Mrs. Lana Spivey Oxendine, age 71 of Pembroke, NC was born  July 14, 1948 and passed away July 9, 2020 after an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Swinton Spivey and Halestine Cox Spivey and one brother, Tony Spivey.  

Mrs. Oxendine is survived by her husband, Mr. Wesley Oxendine; one daughter, Samantha Carter; one son, James Oxendine (Christy); grandchildren, Elizabeth Tyler, Lillianne Tyler; step children, Loretta Horner, Wes Oxendine, Sean Oxendine and Andrew Case; step granddaughters, Rebekah Talbert, Kaitlyn Horner and Melissa Horner; one sister, Linda Harrelson (Michael); two brothers, Terry Spivey (Sandi) and Roger Pivey (Glenda) and two special friends, Shelia Russell and Theresa Walters.

Lana graduated from Tabor City High School and Pembroke State University. She worked for Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Jacksonville, Fl and Durham, NC. She taught school at Carol Middle School and owned and operated Lana Spivey Oxendine, CPA in Pembroke, NC.
