Mr. Kenneth Ray Locklear, son of Inez Locklear and the late Johnny Locklear, was born February 29, 1960 and made his entry into heaven February 27, 2021. He awaits to welcome his beloved wife of 33 years, Eunice Ann Locklear; one son, Kenneth Ryan Locklear and two daughters, Shasta Criss and Sheanne Locklear
He was preceded in heaven by his beloved father, Johnny Locklear and one sister, Dora Francis Sampson.
Kenny was a truck driver for Mountaire Farms for over 20 years. It was this job he loved and where he found a new beginning – he was born again January 13, 1998. He gave his testimony to anyone who would listen. It’s not often you find a friend like he found at the “Hog Pen”. He started lots of laughter and memories with the brother from another mother, Charles Rowsey.
He was a member of South Hoke Baptist Church, sang in the choir
-Glorious Day -, avid bible scholar, read through the bible 23 times. A pillar for all to see – boldly stood for Christ through all his hardships and triumphs. His entry into heaven will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.
Kenny leaves to cherish his memories three sisters, Kathleen Woods, Brenda F. Lowery (Gerald) and Wanda Sorrell (Tommy); one god daughter, Mara Hammonds; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends all of whom are and were beloved.
