Kenneth Dwayne Locklear, 48, passed into eternal life in his home on July 23, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.
Dwayne better known as SupaLoc or Loc to most, was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. As the oldest grandchild on both sides, Dwayne paved the way for those who came after him. He was no stranger to adventure and to some, he was considered a bit troubled. In 2007, Dwayne received a second chance at freedom and vowed to live every day like it was his last.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his father, Kenny Locklear; paternal grandparents, Louie and Lucille Locklear; maternal grandparents, Richard and Anna Ramos; uncle, Richard Ramos Jr; and aunt, Tina Smith.
To carry on his memory, he leaves behind his mother, Liza Ramos; sister, Angela Roberts aka Boody (Michael); brother, Jonathan Jones; sons, Dwayne (Heather), Desmond and Kenny; daughter, Brianna; grandson, Jeremiah and another grandchild on the way; uncles, Roderick Locklear and Ricky Locklear; aunts, Donnamarie Torres, Deborah Buie and Sandra Thompson; nephews, Amani, Jordan and Bryan; niece, Anastacia; his favorite cousin, Krystle and cousin, Phillip III, to whom were raised like his younger siblings; Godmother, Susan Oelkers-Ramos and an extensive list of extended family members.
His celebration of life will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Pembroke, NC on July 31, 2025 at 2:00pm. The burial will follow directly after at Preston Cemetery in Maxton, NC.
