Mr. Junious “June” Bullard, 87, was born to the late Ornie Bullard and Precious Locklear on April 8, 1933 in Robeson County and departed this life on August 7, 2020 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Bullard is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mrs. Nettie Mae Bullard; his brothers, Reese Bullard, Evans Bullard, Homer Locklear and Mark Locklear and his sisters, Iona Bullard Harris, Inez Bullard Chavis and Frances Locklear.
Mr. Bullard attended college of Pembroke State University, where he attained a Bachelors degree in Education. He taught in the Public Schools of Robeson County School System for thirty years and retired to begin traveling. Mr. Bullard touched the lives of many young people in the classroom. He was a faithful member of Prospect United Methodist Church and a devoted Sunday School teacher for a number of years. Mr. Bullard’s Mission in life was to spread the gospel to those who didn’t know Christ. He spent countless hours filling himself with God’s Word so he could witness to the unsaved. His ministry is complete and he has entered the kingdom of heaven.
Mr. Bullard is survived by his daughter, Alice Oxendine (Carl); his son, Anthony Bullard (Denise); five grandchildren, Tyler Dial (Justin), Tess Chavis (Kendrick), Thomas Oxendine (Kelsey), Zachary Bullard, Isabella Bullard, Tristen Oxendine; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest Locklear and Nelson Chavis; one sister, Liz Oliver and a host of relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
