Joan (Jones) Demery

   Mrs. Joan Jones Demery age 67, was born March 21, 1954 to the late Mr. Varcy Jones and the late Mrs. Blanche Oxendine Jones in Robeson County, North Caroline. She departed this life to eternity on August 29, 2021 at UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton, NC.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Nelson Jones, Rodney Jones and Benny Locklear; sisters, Brenda Jones and Ivene Jones Hunt.

   Joan was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Joan was a people person with a heart full of love. She worked at Converse many years and retired with North Caroline Department of Correction. She was a member of New Prospect Holiness Methodist Church.

Joan leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Michael Demery of the home; son, Reggie L. Warriox of Pembroke; daughter, Ashley Bay Jones; granddaughters, Cierra Warriox, Joanna Locklear, Natalie Blanche Locklear; great grands, Kyliegh Chavis, Hunter Oxendine; stepson, Nicolas Demery; stepdaughter, Rachel Demery; three brothers, Mitchell Jones of Pembroke, NC, Byron Jones (Delores) of Red Springs, NC and Kent Jones (Penny) of Maxton, NC; three sisters, Norene Oxendine (Turley) of Maxton, NC, Irma Lambert (Kenneth) of Hampton, VA and Rhonda Jones Locklear of Pembroke, NC; step grands,  Nathan, Hunter,  Elisa, Alaina, Emma, Kyland, Dylan; special friends Annie Neil Locklear, Rebecca and Ollin Hunt and a host of relatives and friends.
