Jim Locklear

Mr. Jim Evans Locklear of Lumberton NC, was born into this world on Thursday February 10,1955, and departed for his enteral rest on Saturday December 14th 2024 completing his journey of 69 years. He is preceded in death by his father Mr. Evans Locklear and sister Ms. Regina Locklear. 

He leaves behind his wife of  49 years, Grace Leviner Locklear, two daughters, Christy Oxendine (Brandon) of Rowland, Amanda Locklear (Woody) of Lumberton and 1 son Miguel Locklear (Tasha) of Lumberton. 5 grandchildren Cameron Locklear(Jeranda), Laken Locklear (Austin), Caleb Locklear, Samaya Strickland and Anira Strickland, 2 great grand babies Bryson and Alianna. His mother  Lucille Locklear, sisters Linda Jacobs, Vicky Deese, Mary Rose Jones (Jimmy) and Patricia Locklear, 1 brother Rodney Locklear all of Maxton. Numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family members. 

Daddy was a stern man of few words, he wasn't one for affection but towards the end, his I love you's was felt, the hugs was comforting and his unspoken words could be understood with the heart. To know Daddy was to love him and he will be missed. His presences will live on with God, as he dedicated his soul back to our ever loving Father. We take comfort in knowing that we will see him again.
