Jean Harlow (Revels) Demery

Mrs. Jean Harlow Demery, 81, of Pembroke, NC was born on December 20, 1937 and departed this life on July 8, 2019.

  She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Russell Revels and Mrs. Trixie Revels, a daughter; Debbie Demery, a brother; Mr. Gerald Franklin Revels.  

   Mrs. Demery leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 63 years, Mr. Harold Demery, of the home. Four children, Mr. Michael Demery (Joan); Mrs. Barbara Demery Sanderson (Martin), all of Pembroke, NC; Mr. Gregory Demery (Pauline) of Arlington, VA, and Ms. Sherry Demery (special friend, Bryan) of Pembroke, NC. Jean's siblings included four sisters, Mary Byers (Ronnie), Linda Faye Jacobs, Loretta Jones, and Cathy Revels; and four brothers, James-Poochie Revels (Donna), Larry Revels, Wayne Revels (Cathy), and Glenn Revels.  A sister-in-law, Ms. Margaret Revels. Her grandchildren included, Jason, Chris, Nicholas, Brock, Nikki, Rachel, Brittany, Kyra, Ryan, Dezlun, nineteen great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

    Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  She enjoyed life, especially serving the Lord.  She was always the life of the party. Jean loved visiting with friends and family and especially participating in church activities, and posing for pictures. Jean enjoyed watching the Lifetime TV network and her favorite TV Pastor, Charles Stanley.

     Jean worked at Converse for 30 years as a seamstress. She was President of the Pembroke, NC VFW Woman's Auxiliary and a member of Pembroke Elders Group of Lumbee Tribe of NC.  Jean was also a Breast Cancer Survivor.
