James Randolph Locklear

Mr. James Randolph Locklear (Mattie Ruth) 83 of 5871 Elrod. Rd. Rowland, NC 28383 was born February 15, 1942, in Robeson County. He was born to the late Jimmie and Zettie Locklear. He passed on March 29, 2025, while participating in one of his favorite pass times, watching his grandson race.

He is proceeded in death by his wife Mattie Ruth and his son Phillip. Siblings: Rena Collins, Vernon Locklear, Herbert Locklear, Mable Locklear, and Great grandson Ja’Hayden Sampson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, Tammy Locklear, Riva Locklear and Jermie (Nikki) Locklear. All from Rowland. 8 Grandchildren and 8 Greatgrand children. Siblings: Victor (Sheila) Locklear, Ricky Locklear, Herman Locklear, Antonette Locklear, Gwendolyn Allen, Adolph (Diane) Locklear, Andoris Dial. All from Pembroke and Pandora Jacobs of Red Springs.

Randolph was well known and well rounded. He was a hard worker and provider; better known as “Honey Bun”. He taught his children the value of hard work and a simple life.
