Mrs. Helen Campbell of Rowland, North Carolina peacefully passed away at the home of her dear sister Peggy Locklear Monday evening the 13th of July, 2020 in her 84th year. She was born February 1st 1936 to the late Mr. Danny Locklear and the late Mrs. Nancy Jane (Pink) Locklear.
Helen Campbell was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Charles A Campbell.
Along with her parents and her husband, Helen was preceded in death by five of her sisters and four of her brothers: Pearlene Stanton, Regina Strickland, Mary Alice Wilkins, Iula Oxendine, Roberta Oxendine, John (blue eyes) Luther, Carl Locklear, Dallas Locklear and Willie D Locklear.
She leaves the following family to cherish her loving memories – her son Charles R. Campbell of Winchester, Virginia, her daughter Tammy J. Lewis and her husband Victor of Fredericksburg, Virginia, her stepson Mo Wilson and his wife Nan of Stafford, Virginia, her step daughter Linda Mullin and her husband Tom of Pennsylvania, her grandchildren Lauren Campbell, Jessica L. Philippon, Jonah A. Philippon and Sarah E. Lewis, her great grandchild Lorelei P. Philippon, her brother Donald Locklear and his wife Pauline of Wytheville, Virginia and her four sisters Peggy Locklear and Pam Locklear Emanuel of Rowland, North Carolina, Judy Locklear and her husband Hubert of Maxton, North Carolina and Nancy Jacobs and her husband Darius of Pembroke, North Carolina.
Among many other things, Helen will most be remembered for her hospitality and her open door to anyone that needed a place to sleep or a hot meal. Her home was your home and her food was your food, until you made her mad, then you better run.
