Hazel (Barton) Bryant

   Mrs. Hazel Bryant, 72, of Maxton, NC was born October 14, 1949 and departed this life peacefully at her home with her loving husband and family by her side on June 10, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Buck and Annie Ruth Barton and siblings, Hal, George L., John L., Sanford, Douglas, Lizzie Mae, Bertha, Lannie and Callie Mae.

Hazel grew up as a proud member of the Prospect Longhouse Tuscarora Nation of NC. She committed herself to a lifetime of God, Family and Community. Mrs. Hazel retired from LOF Glass Plant, Union Elementary School and she was a caretaker to Mr. Cleo Maynor and Mr. Rolland Coulon.

Mrs. Hazel is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Willie French Bryant, III of the home; one sister, Meta Cooper of Wagram, NC; one brother, Donald Barton of Maxton, NC; 19 children she help raise; two special nieces, Shelia Chavis and Dina Barton; special friends, Judy Barton (Danny) and Pat Maynor and a host of other relatives and friends.
