Harold "Johnny" Worriax, Sr. Obituary

Retired Corporal Harold F. “Johnny” Worriax Sr., age 62, of Prospect, NC was born November 19, 1957 in Laurinburg, NC; and departed this life for his eternal home on April 24, 2020 in the Morrison Manor Hospice in Laurinburg, NC.

Mr. Worriax faithfully served the citizens of Robeson County for 20 years of dedicated and loyal service with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center. Harold dedicated 20 years to the Youth of Robeson County as a Robeson County Sports Official. He officiated baseball, football and basketball. Harold was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers football, Duke Men’s basketball, and NASCAR racing fan. He was a beloved faithful member of New Prospect Holiness Methodist Church where he enjoyed the true fellowship of Christ.

Harold was preceded in death by his father, George D. Woriax, paternal grandmother Thedis Woriax, maternal grandparents Elbert Clark and Idella Locklear, his sister Linda Rolan, and special nephew Patrick Scott Locklear.

Harold is survived by his wife of 37 years Sharon Worriax of the home. One son Harold Fredrick Worriax, Jr. of the home, one daughter Alison Danielle Worriax of the home. One special granddaughter Sophia Zadie Revels of the home. His mother Vonnie E. Woriax. Three brothers, George (Everleen), Harry (Myra), and Ronald Lee. Two sisters, Vonda Hammonds and Teresa Locklear. Mother in Law, Cathleen Revels. Sister in Law, Shauna Locklear. Speical godgranddaughters Jocelyn M. Chavis and Kaitlyn Brayboy. Special nieces, Brooke Davis, Shayna Revels, Victoria Locklear, Lauren Locklear, Elizabeth Locklear and Sarah Hunt. A special aunt and uncle, James Wilbert and Carolyn Locklear and their children, James Wilbert Jr. , Sonya Kay Collins, Charles S. Locklear, and Melissa Foust. A special brother in law, Terry Rolan. Special godsons, Ryan Locklear and Timothy Locklear.
