Mrs. Glenda Ann Aubin, 71 of the Prospect Community, was born on April 30, 1950 to the late Mr. Macasco “Roscoe” Locklear and Mrs. Mary Ann Locklear and went to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at home with family by her side.
Mrs. Aubin was employed by Converse for 30 years. After the closing of the plant, she graduated from Robeson Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science. She was a faithful member of Rock of Ages Church for over 30 years where she directed WMU. She directed numerous Christmas Plays, taught Sunday school and VBS and would raise money all year long for it. She was actively involved in mission work and several charitable events. She loved her church, work family and community and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, golf and bowling, but her love for the Lord surpassed it all. Her presence will be missed by all that knew her.
Mrs. Aubin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. Lawrence “Larry” Edward Aubin; her sister, Nettie Blenn Porter and one brother, Dock “Pap” Henry Locklear.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Shawn Kevin Deese (Tonya) of Prospect; two daughters, Tiki Kim Aubin-Lowery (Patrick) of Lumberton and Mychalene Deese (Paul Little) of the home; one sister, Susie Hunt Johnston of Red Springs and two brothers, James Ray Locklear of Prospect and Charles L. Locklear (Betty) of Maxton; her grandchildren, Sean Cameron Deese, Destini Cheyenne Deese, Bryton Chase Deese and Mary Leighonna Deese “Little” all of Prospect and a host of other loving friends, family, nieces and nephews.
