Gladys Oxendine

Mrs. Gladys Oxendine 85, of 891 Faith Rd., Pembroke was born September 15, 1940 to the late Mr. Ashley Locklear and Mrs. Doshie Lee Jones and departed this life on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Mr. Moses Oxendine Jr, a son Mr. Lance Oxendine, and a daughter-in-law Mrs. Patsy Ann Oxendine.

She was also proceeded in death by her siblings Mrs. Frances Baxley, Mrs. Priscilla Jones, Mr. Garvey Jones, and Mr. Roman Hunt.

Mrs. Gladys leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Mrs. Zelda (Jeffery) Burnett of Lumberton, Ms. Gloria Oxendine and Mrs. Patrice McMillian both of Pembroke; three sons, Mr. Terry (Terri Ann) Oxendine, Mr. Perry (Mary) Oxendine both of Pembroke and Mr. Jermie (Gina) Oxendine of Cedar Creek. She also leaves to cherish her memories of her sisters, Mrs. Gracie Lee Maynor, Mrs. Shirleen Jones, Mrs. Kathy Jones and one brother, Mr. Hurman Hunt; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to her granddaughter Jessica for providing Our Mother with excellent bedside comfort care.
