Gearldine Hunt

Mrs. Gearldine Hunt, age 82, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, sister, and daughter, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Gearldine was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Mae Locklear; her father, Patrick Locklear; five sisters, Emily Locklear, Bertha Locklear, Emma Locklear, Mary Flagg, and Patsy A. Locklear; and three brothers, Kernel Locklear, Kirk Patrick Locklear, and Wade Hampton Locklear.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph I. Hunt; one daughter, Julia (Jeffery) Dial of Maxton, NC, and one son, Joseph (Dora) Hunt of Pembroke, NC; four grandsons, Christian, Ethan, Colin, and Alexander; and two granddaughters, Aslyn and Sequoia. She is also survived by two sisters, Betty L. Smith of Virginia and Josephine Locklear of Maxton, NC, along with a host of nieces and nephews, including special nieces Geraldine Hunt, Shana Lowery, and Candice Bailey.
