The Reverend G.B. Locklear, of Pembroke, was born January 14, 1950, in Robeson County, N.C. The Master called him home January 13, 2026, at the age of 75 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital of Cumberland County, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Angelita, his father Stanford Locklear, his mother Attie Locklear, his maternal Grandparents Narson and Daisy Jones Graham, his paternal Grandparents Comas and Dove Locklear and one brother Stant Locklear, one son in law Michael Clark.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Nancy of 54 years of marriage of the home, three daughters: Libby Locklear of Rowland, N.C., Shenna Locklear of the home, Aquila (Ernie) of Maxton, N.C., six grandchildren Cameron Clark, Coty (Kelsey) Clark of Maxton, N.C., Brandon Lowery of Maxton, N.C., Joshua Locklear of Maxton, N.C., Kaleb Locklear of Maxton, N.C., Donnie Brown of the home, five great-grandchildren Mayliyah Clark, Malanie Clark, Phoenix Locklear, Kaesin Clark, Cadence Clark all of Maxton, N.C., two brothers S.L. Locklear of Lumberton, Com (Precilla) Locklear of Lumberton, three sisters Joyce (Bobby) Hunt of Sellers, S.C., Elizabeth Locklear of Lumberton, N.C., Rhonda (Jeff) Hunt of Pembroke, N.C., his church family at The Body of Christ Church and a host of relatives and friends.
God came first in Daddy’s life then family. He loved to talk about the Lord with everyone. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished his time with his family. He loved when he saw his great-grandchildren he would turn into a child himself when he played with them, and they loved their papa. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and having one on one conversations with them. He also, loved his daughters and cherished his time with them, but most of all he cherished his wife, Nancy. He will be missed beyond words. We Love You, Daddy.
