Mrs. Fontain Locklear 73 of Pembroke, NC departed this earth on Saturday January 25, 2025 at 4:14pm to be with the heavenly father.
Mrs. Fontain was born May 14, 1951 in Robeson County, NC. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and beloved friend of many.
Fontain, also known as Fonnie/aunt Fonnie will forever hold a lasting impression on anyone she has ever crossed paths with and was truly ONE OF A KIND.
You never had to wonder what she was thinking.
Her house was always open to everyone. She was a wonderful cook for her family and friends, among some of her fan favorites were fried chicken, banana pudding and chicken salad.
She spent a majority of her working career as Certified Nursing Assistant at the Anne Carlsen School for Cripled Children in Jamestown, ND. She loved her job dearly and would often bring home the child/children who were left behind at the boarding school over the holidays which became a continued practice in our family for generations.
She truly had a heart of gold and will be missed dearly by all whose lives she touched.
To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her children: Brian Locklear of Courtenay, ND, Monica Seckerson (Eric) of Greenfield, MN, Bradley Sabinash of Jamestown, ND, Amanda Lowery of Pembroke, NC.; eleven grandchildren: Chase, Kent, Lyncoln, Rylee, Kaylan, Cody, Savana, Jasmine, Mason, David and Hunter; one great grandchild: Anders Ann; and three brothers: Mr. Sanford Locklear of Liberty, NC, Mr. John Locklear (Barbara) of Leawood, KS, Mr. James Wesley Hammonds of Greensboro, NC as well as a bounty of beloved friends.
