Donald Locklear, Sr.

Bro. Donald Locklear, 74, of Laurinburg, was born on August 16, 1946 to the late Mr. Clifton Goins and Mrs. Lula Jane McGirt and was raised by Ms. Bertha Locklear. He departed this life on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, to join Jesus Christ his Savior in heaven where his name is written in the Lambs book of life and his daughter, Linda Carol.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and James and four sisters, Betty Lou, Marie, Vennus Ann and Harvelene. 

    Bro. Don leaves to cherish his memories on son, Donald Locklear, Jr. of the home; three step children, Vickie Dial of Pembroke, Bobby Dial and Lisa Dial both of Maxton; his caregiver, Ms. Dora Scott of Maxton; four special friends, the blue girls, Jane, Dagmar, Robin and Jackie; three brothers, Robert R. Locklear of Raleigh, Bobby D. Locklear of Red Springs and Pete Strickland of Maxton; five sisters, Betty Jane Locklear of Red Springs, Cindy Lewis of Laurinburg, Mary Bullard of Raeford, Carolyn Lowery of Pembroke and Tina M Chaves of Dover, DE and a host of other relatives and friends.
