Delores Jean (Collins) McGirt

Mrs. Delores Jean McGirt, 68, of Maxton, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday April 1st, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, North Carolina surrounded by loved ones.

  She was born to the late Mr. Lacy Collins and Mrs. Katie Collins on October 7th, 1952.

  In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by four brothers: Mr. Jerry Collins, Mr. Brent Collins, Mr. Carl Jean Collins and Mr. Larry Collins.

  Mrs. Delores Jean McGirt, leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 45 years, Mr. Howard McGirt of the home; one son: Howard Cory McGirt of the home;  one daughter: Melissa Walker and husband Rev. John Walker of Maxton; two granddaughters: Kaylee Paige Walker and Emily Grace Walker of Maxton; one brother: Mr. James Harrell Collins and wife Hazel M. Collins of Maxton, North Carolina; two sisters: Mrs. Beatrice Oxendine husband Fonice Oxendine and Ms. Nancy Hamm both of Maxton, North Carolina; a special life-long friend Easther Locklear of Pembroke, North Carolina; two valued colleagues, Gisele Carter and Betty Bridgers; several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
