Delina (Revels) Sanderson

    Mrs. Delina Revels Sanderson was born on July 8, 1926 to the late James Sampson Revels and Georgiana Oxendine Revels. She peacefully departed this life Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Barney Sanderson; her daughter, Ruthie S. Locklear; two infant sons, one infant daughter, two brothers, James Sampson Revels and Willie Mckinley Revels; two sisters, Annie May Revels Smith and  Louisiana Revels Lee; one grandson, Benjamin Locklear.

She is survived by four daughters, Lena S. Maynor (Boyce), Rose S. Clark (Marco), Linda S. Locklear (Dwight) and Phyllis Kay S. Locklear (Patrick); a special niece (daughter) Susan Revels; seven grandchildren, Ashleigh M. Gale, Michael G. Maynor, John K. Locklear, Courtney M. Clark, Cristina M. Clark, Barnetta L. Oxendine, and Kayla P. Locklear; six great-grandchildren, Ava M. Gale, Drystin C. Warriax, Haylee B. Gale, Roman T. Locklear, Katoreh R. Oxendine, and Kolton Oxendine; two special friends, Anthony Johnson and Alma Malloy, and a host of other relatives and friends.
