Dawn Davis

Ms. Dawn Davis, age 47 of Lumberton NC, departed her earthly home and entered her Heavenly Home on Thursday, September 23, of 2021. She was born in Scotland County on April 29, 1974, to Robert Davis of Lumberton and the late Jane Carol Oxendine of Pembroke. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Jane Carol Oxendine. Our mother was very loving and outspoken, to know was to love her. If you knew her, she wouldn’t hold her tongue. She would do anything for anybody, all they had to do was ask. Our Mom loved sunflowers. We think it was because she brought joy and brightened up everyone around her like the sun. Mom had a passion for driving that dump truck. We think it was because when she was in it, she felt large and in charge. She will be missed and never forgotten. She is survived by her two sons, Mr. Brent Dial and Wife Tammy Johnston of Lumberton. Nicholas Davis of the home. Her Father Robert and Wife Robbin Davis of Lumberton. One brother Dwain Davis and his Wife Stephanie of Lumberton. One sister Nikki Locklear and husband Jermie of Rowland. Two grandchildren, Sadie and Christian Dial. Three nieces and three nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. The family will receive family and friends, Friday October 1, 2021, from 6pm to 8pm at Thompsons Funeral Home, in Pembroke NC. With Preacher Jimmy Strickland and Officiating. No Farewell words were spoken, No time to say goodbye, You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why
