Obituary

Carrie Lee Graham was greeted by her Heavenly father as a faithful servant and follower of Jesus Christ on April 23, 2023. She was born daughter of Carson Jones and Jesse Bell Jones (Blue) in Lumberton, NC. Carrie was preceded in death by her brothers; Beamus Jones, Mitchell Jones, sisters; Sarah Ree Locklear, Allener Boria, husband, Curtis Graham and son, Tony C. Jones, and great grandson Donavan Elijah Graham. Surviving by sisters: Fannie Santana, Minnie Pearl Grant, and Carmie Lee Gabor.

     At the age of (18) she left NC to pursue her dreams and settled in Pennsylvania where she married Curtis Graham and raised her daughter Doris Ann Graham, and her son, Curtis A. Graham, Jr., she also had a son Tony C. Jones who joined the military at the age of 17 (deceased in 2021). Carrie started working at the Kutztown Shoe Factory until 1978 when she joined the Berks County Visiting Nurses as a Home Health Aide. She retired in 1998 and moved back to her roots in Robeson County, NC. She resided there the remainder of her life. Carrie was a larger than life personality. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met and never met a stranger. She was a care-giver, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, friend and Aunt. She loved to travel, enjoyed watching game shows, embroidery and she had an excellent hand at talking politics. Carrie Lee Graham is survived by two children, Curtis A. Graham and Doris Ann Hastings and (husband) Todd K. Hastings, she has (6) grandchildren; Tony Jones, Jr., Crystal Lee Jones, Joseph Donavan Graham, and (wife) Elizabeth Ann Graham, Curtis Graham Jr., Cole Austin Hastings, and Megan Lee, Hastings. (9) great grandchildren; Mackenzie Jones, Chance Hopkins, Faith Repoza and Harmony Watts, Joseph Tyer Graham, Evangeline Jewel Graham, Donavan Elijah Graham(deceased 1/15/18), Brayleigh A. Graham, Jiraiya N. Graham, along with a host of family (including many nieces and nephews), friends, and loved ones.

     And finally, a special thank you to her Sister-in-Laws, dear friends, care givers, and relatives who visited and faithfully stayed by her side these last few years as her condition worsened. We appreciate all of you, and know she would be so grateful to all those who came near and far to pay their final respect and say their goodbye’s to this vivacious woman who walked this earth for 86 years.
