Mr. Carlyle Cummings (Carlie), 48 of Orbit Drive, Pembroke, NC went peacefully to be with the Lord on March 10, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Carlyle was born on April 28, 1975 to the late Carlee Ransom and Louise Cummings Ransom.
He leaves to cherish his memory of his loving wife of eleven wonderful years Mary Linda Cummings, a step-son Earnest Dial, a brother Isaac Ransom and two nieces.
Carlie had a few overwhelming traits for starters he loved the Lord, his wife Mary and his brother Isaac with all his heart and he didn’t mind telling the world.
During the summer he delighted in fishing and he loved his animals especially his cats. Carlie enjoyed picking up cans on the side of the road with his wife he loved the outdoors. It didn’t matter what they were doing they were happy being together.
Carlie possessed many admirable qualities. He always greeted people with a warm smile and a hug, regardless of whether he knew them or not. He was known to go out of his way to help others, even those who didn't particularly like him. To sum him up, Carlie was a meek, mild, lovable, kind, generous, and compassionate individual. To know the new man was to love him. He’d come running if you ever needed his help.
Even though Carlyle is gone to rest for his heavenly flight he will never be forgotten because he touched the hearts and lives of many. Many years ago Mary asked the Lord for a husband and he sent the best he had. He molded Carlyle to be an honorable man. Carlie was broken and God fixed him. Praise be the God. The time on Earth was short lived for Carlyle and Mary but they cherished every minute of their time together. Rest In Peace until we meet again and when I (Mary) do meet you I want to be greeted with a smile on your face proceeded with a hug and a kiss. Carlyle I will always love you and yes you were one of the best things that happen to me. Carlyle and Mary cited this often: Create in me a clean heart oh God and renew a right spirit within me. Amen Psalms 51:10.
