Mr. Carlton R. Cummings Sr. 86, of Pembroke, NC. He passed away on March 13, 2026 peacefully at his home. He was born on March 1, 1940 in Pembroke, NC to the late Newton Cummings Sr. and Flora Ann Lowry Cummings. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Millard, Earl, Wilton, Frank, Willard, and Newton Cummings Jr.; sisters, Willa Mae Porter and Welthie Dial. Carlton is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Cummings of the home; two sons, Carlton Cummings Jr. and Jimmy Cummings both of Pembroke; one daughter, Vanessa Hunt of Pembroke; sisters, Nina Ruth Cummings, Ella Mae Hammonds, Sarah Ann Locklear, Mary Ann Locklear, and Betty Lou Maynor; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and several good friends, Talmadge Dial of Pembroke, Jack Jackson of Raeford, Tiny Jones of Maxton, Cassandra Hunt of Rowland, Christina Callahan of Rennert, NC and a host of other relatives and friends. Carlton was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a hard working man. He worked many years as part-owner of Prospect Slaughter Pen. He worked on the farm, did construction work, and worked with a tree company. He loved to hunt, fish and watch sports. He loved to plant his garden and cut grass.
