Mr. Carl R. Chavis, of Maxton was born on May 31, 1949 in Robeson County, NC. The Lord called him home April 26, 2020 at the age of 70 at home, 11837 Highway 130, Maxton, NC.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ethan and Elease Chavis.

Carl leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Annie F. Barton Chavis of the home; two daughters, Donna Lynn Chavis of the home and Carla Renee Gales and husband, Terry Gales of Maxton; two grandchildren, Brandon Allen Tiny west (Tori) and Tara Simone Rodriguez (Martin); four great-grandchildren, Skyler Alexis Locklear, Frankie Renee Harelson, Zayden Star Powell, and Noleani Rayne West; two sisters, Dorothy Scott (Ronny0 of Maxton and Diana Dial of Maxton, and a host of other relatives and friends.
