Mr. Bruce Locklear, was born the first day of June, 1949 in the Prospect Community. He lived his life as a farmer and a man seeking to serve the Lord by ministering to the community from the pulpit and from his farm. He built BB&K Farms from the sweat of his brow and the firm handshake that was his word..
He was preceded in death by his father, Lacy Locklear; one sister, Sandra Locklear; three brothers, Michael Locklear, Robert W. Locklear and Ronald D. Locklear and a son, Sandy Locklear.
He went home to be with the Lord on the first day of March of the year of our Lord 2019. He is survived by his wife, Debra P. Locklear; one son, Kelly Locklear of Maxton, NC; his mother, Rosie Lee Locklear, of Maxton, NC; one brother, Donald R. Locklear (Tessie Locklear); one sister, Kathy L. Chavis and a host of family and friends. He leaves behind many nephews, nieces and “Grandchildren” whom he treasured as his very own.
