Bender Locklear

Mr. Bender Locklear, 68, of 63 JI Road, Maxton, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. 

He was born January 6, 1952 to the late William “Bill” and Mary Lois Locklear. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Kristy Locklear. 

Bender was a family man who cherished spending as much time with them as he could. He was an avid hunter and was often found helping others in need in any way possible. Bender often could be found cooking for others at his church, where he served as an ordained Deacon for 15+ Years. 

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 42 years, Emma Jane Locklear and their children, Jessica Locklear (Tommy), Dana Locklear, and Travis Locklear. Bender was a loving “Papa” to his 6 grandchildren Cody, Jacob, Cheyenne, Kaitlyn, Shania, Emily and 2 step-grandchildren Bailey and Coy. He also leaves behind 2 brothers, Ronald Ray “John” Locklear and Gary Locklear (Traci), along with his sister Glenda Bryant (William) and a host of other relatives and friends.
