Baby Asher Jeremiah-Wade Oxendine

Our little angel was born on August 17th, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina. To his parents, LeRanda Hunt and James Oxendine. “Dearest Asher, please know that our greatest blessing was having you.” Asher experienced holding hands with his mommy and daddy, hugs and kisses from his family, and being told “I love you” an uncountable amount of times. He departed this world to rest in the arms of Jesus on August 17th, 2024.

He is greeted in heaven by Two Uncles, Christopher Austin Oxendine and Jeremiah Dakota Locklear. His grandfather Donald Edward Sweat. Two great grandmothers Lisanna Lovette, and Penny Lowery, Three great grandfather’s Willie Wayne Hunt, Earl Oxendine, and Edward “Pete” Jones.

He is survived by his Mother, LeRanda Hunt and Father, James Oxendine. Three brothers, Sebastian, Leland, & Dyami. Five uncles, Donovan Wade Hunt, Brannigan Luther, Tylek Baker, Brent Jones, and Daylynn Revels. Two Aunts Tierra Oxendine, and Alannah Revels. Three Grandmothers Amanda Hunt, April Locklear, and Georgianna Jones. Two Grandfathers James Oxendine Sr. and Anthony Jones.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm at Thompson Funeral Home in Pembroke, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be the following Saturday morning, August 24th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Bullard’s Family Cemetery, Pearson Rd. Maxton, North Carolina. 

Officiating the services will be Rev. Vee Oxendine
