Arline (Chavis) Jacobs

Mrs. Arline (Tootsie) Jacobs, age 82 of Pembroke, NC was born on May 26, 1937 in Robeson County to the late Mr. Fuller Oxendine and Mrs. Leola Sampson. She departed this life on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Jacobs was proceeded in death by two sons Jimmy Jacobs and Ricky Jacobs; three sisters Polly, Addis , and Adora.

 Arline leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Harvey Jacobs of the home; five sons William M. Chavis (Mary), Gerald Jacobs, Ozzie Jacobs (Marianne), David Jacobs and Chris Jacobs; one brother Thruman Sampson; Three grandchildren Shawn Chavis (Quleita), Amanda Chavis, and Zora Stewart; Seven great-grandchildren Kirklan Cox, Brandon Chavis, Betty Chavis, Lorenzo Chavis, Tangela Faye Chavis, Quadale Chavis and Qushawn Chavis; one great-great grandchild Reina Cox; her beloved pet  Peanut; and a host of relatives and friends.

  Arline was an exceptional cook, an avid gardener, a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed trips to the mountains with her favorite cousins, working in her flower beds and enjoyed her family and friends for visits. She was a member of Bear Swamp Baptist Church. Most importantly, Arline Jacobs spent a lifetime in faithful service to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
