Anthony "Buddy" Locklear

Anthony Ray Locklear, “Big Buddy”, age 72, of Pembroke, NC, was born on May 15, 1953, to the late Esely and Adelia Locklear.  He peacefully went to his Heavenly home on Sept. 22, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.   

Anthony will always be remembered as a loving father, papa, father-in-law, brother and friend.  He was well-known for riding his Harley Davidson, church, and meeting up with his friends at Hardees.   

In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by a grandson, Jerret Wayne Oxendine.   

He leaves to cherish his memories with his one daughter: Nicole Locklear, of Pembroke, four sons: Anthony Locklear, Jr (Phyllis), Junie Locklear (Jennifer), Eric Locklear (Tanya) and Mickey Locklear (Tonya), all of Pembroke and nine cherished grandchildren: Kayla, Justin (Bri), Sequoia, Alona, Emery, Anna, Jeremiah, Ava and Nathanal; three great-grandchildren: Jayce, Journee and Gunner.  One sister: Margaret Ann Dodson (David) and a special friend, Ruth Jacobs.   

He will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.   

His great legacy of love, faith and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
