Andrew Christopher Cummings

Mr. Andrew Christopher Cummings, age 26 of Rowland, NC began his life on earth March 30, 1994 and began his eternal life on January 27, 2021. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Mary Jane Oxendine.

As a teenager, Andrew accepted the Lord as his personal savior and was baptized at Elrod Baptist Church. From his childhood and into adulthood Andrew could be very affectionate and enjoyed joking around and playing. He enjoyed collecting and viewing family pictures as well as various memorabilia. We, the family, fully acknowledge the circumstances surrounding Andrew’s death but his life and consequentially his death were not in vain. If we could do anything, it would be to implore those that have issues with mental health and addiction to seek help before it is too late. We are choosing today to mourn his passing but also to celebrate the good that he brought to our lives.

Andrew leaves to cherish his memory his parents: Cornelius Cummings, Jr (Becky) and Chris Oxendine; His siblings, Christian (Brittany) Cummings and Mary Cummings, a nephew, Kolten Barton, his paternal grandparent, Cornelius and Dorothy Cummings and a special friend, Ashley Wallace.
