Andoris Dial

Mrs. Andoris Locklear Dial (81) was born on May 6, 1944, to the late Jimmy and Zettie Mae Locklear. She peacefully departed this life on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene H. “Squeaky” Dial; her parents; her son-in-law, Gary Lowry; her grandson, Gene Gariard Lowry; and her siblings: Randolph Locklear, Mable Locklear, Hurbert Locklear, Vernon Locklear, and Rena Mae Locklear.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; two sons, Wayne Dial (Lisa) of Maxton, NC; Jimmy Dean Dial of the home; two daughters, Anita Dial Lowry of Pembroke, NC, and Mary Dial Locklear (Paul) of Cameron, NC; three sisters, Pandora Jacobs, Gwendalyn Allen, and Antonette Locklear; four brothers, Adolph Locklear, Herman Locklear, Ricky Locklear, and Victor Locklear.

Andoris was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She was employed with B.F. Goodrich and later Converse for 35 years, until it’s closure in March 2001. Her children were her greatest pride and joy.  She was blessed with her beloved grandchildren: Natasha (Edward), Ashley, Serena (Joseph) , Harvey (Justice), Brian, Matthew, Tyler (Makayla), Connor, and Brooke. She was also blessed with her great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Olivia, Marcus, Jeremy, Mattlyn, Rilynn, McKinley, Revi, and Matthias.

Andoris showed compassion and love in her own special way. She was well-known for checking on the sick and spending time visiting with family and friends. She enjoyed yard sales, thrifting, and traveling with her sisters and cousins. All of them held a special place in her heart. One of her favorite sayings was, “You can like it or lump it.”
