Amy O. Locklear, 46 of Lumber Bridge, entered her heavenly home on January 8, 2025. Amy was born on June 28, 1978, to the late Ray Mitchell and Pamela Oxendine. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Lucy Oxendine and maternal grandparents James and Maudia Bullard.
Amy loved her family and friends. She never met a stranger and enjoyed making you smile and laugh. Amy met many people while working as an EMT. She later went to school and obtained her CDL’s and traveled the world driving. She was a dedicated member of New Collins Chapel.
She is survived by her companion Tommy Jones and her former spouse Carlton Dixon. Her eldest son Daniel Locklear and late son Brandon Dixon; Her lovely daughters Amanda Locklear, Caroline Locklear and fiancé Matt Wilcox, Brianna Ralston and spouse Shadix. She was a loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren, Pursaius, Kinston, Abrie, Harmony and NovaLee. Her sister Leslie Locklear and her spouse Tonyal Locklear of Maxton. Her stepfather Michael Wall.
Amy leaves us all with a plethora of memories to cherish, as a woman with an unwavering heart and infectious personality guided her into being a loving wife, fiancé, mother, grandmother, friend. She helped anyone that needed a helping hand, she would give you the shirt off her back no questions asked, for anyone to lean on for just a conversation she was there.
Her warmth, wisdom, and unshakeable spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those who had the blessing of knowing her. Amy’s memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all those she loved and cherished. Until we meet again, may she rest in the arms of Jesus.
