Mr. Albert “Rab” Locklear, 84 of 2380 Dairy Rd., Red Springs, NC was born to the late Briscoe Locklear and Carrie McMillan Locklear. Mr. Albert departed this life on April 12, 2020 at Scotland Memorial Hospital. He is Proceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roscoe “Mouse” Locklear and Norman “Pally” Locklear; one sister, Mary Lois “Monk” Locklear; one grandson, Alexander McMillan; one great grandson, Nigel McMillan; one great granddaughter.
Mr. Albert leaves behind his wife of almost 65 years, Evelyn Locklear of the home; three children, Carrie McMillan (Layman), Mitzi Jacobs (Ben), Adam Locklear (Aubrey); six grandchildren, Talbert (Cherella), Becky (Micheal), Daniel, Grace, Chris, Zack; 8 great grandchildren; Jacob, Patience, Tobias Hunter, Mackenezee, Nahayla, Eliana, Layken; one great great grandchild, Paylan; two sisters, Shirley “Sue” Blue and Eunie “Skinny” Thrift; and a host of family and friends.
Albert was a member of Island Grove Baptist Church. He worked hard all his life as a farmer and public worker. He worked at Binswanger AC Glass Company for 28 years. Only to retire and come home to start his own business L&M Glass Co. He worked and built his company until he retired at the age of 62.He believed in hard work, honesty, family and making a good name for yourself. He was an amazing provider and a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
