Ms. Lydia Ann Hoyos “Lyb”, 36 of Rowland was born August 13, 1987 to Mr. Joe Hoyos and Mrs. Darlene Dial Locklear. She departed her life on April 14, 2024 at her home.
Lydia was known for her strong work ethic and how driven she was to provide for her family. She was a highly valued employee of Regional Home, Regional Modulars, and Marty Wright Home Sales. She loved The Lord and was actively trying to provide a better future for her family, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. She enjoyed playing the wooden flute, modeling, swimming and spending time with her family and friends. She had a degree in Criminal Justice. She touched so many hearts. She was the definition of an encourager to those around her. She was known as “Lumbee Pocahontas”.
She is preceded in death by her stepdad Mr. Ronald Locklear. Her maternal grandparents, Mrs. Alemeaner Dial and Mr. Dormic Dial.
Ms. Hoyos leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Mr. Everton Chancellor Chavis III of Lumber Bridge, Master Tommy Jaxton Tyler and one daughter: Miss Allaminia Marie Tyler of the home; one goddaughter: Ms. Santasia Ward of Pembroke; two brothers: Terry Hardin and Mr. Forrest Dial (Jerri) of Rowland; two sisters: Ms. Kendra Locklear of Marston, NC and Mrs. Kassondra Chavis Hunt (Jamie) of Rowland; one best friend that was like a big sister and the godmother of the babies: Ms. Rhonda Sampson of Pembroke and one long time best friend: Ms. Alexis Marie Nunn of Eugene, OR, also with two boys and two girls, six nephews and four nieces; one great nephew; three lifelong friends that were like brothers: Kelvin Seals (Crip) with one son, Paul Chavis and Devan Owens and a host of friends and relatives.
