Less Norman Locklear

Less Norman Locklear Jr. of Maxton, NC was born August 28, 1936 and departed to his heavenly home on January 13, 2024 at UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents Less Norman Locklear and Lily Mae Jacobs Locklear. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the following siblings: Robert Locklear, Redell Locklear, James Locklear, Purcell Locklear, Lore Locklear(Cassie), Hester Hawtof, Lily Oxendine, and Clyde D. Locklear. He is survived by two sisters, Rebecca L. Oxendine and Geraldine L. Woods, and one brother Laxston Locklear. He leaves behind to cherish his memories a beloved wife of 62 years, Katie Locklear; 5 daughters, Deborah Locklear of Maxton NC, Dr. Sandra Locklear(Christopher) of Maxton, NC, Shirlene Locklear Deese(Michael) of Lumberton, NC, Doris L. Chavis(Kent) of Maxton, NC, and Cindy K. Locklear(Victor) of Maxton, NC; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
